Iran: World Will Not Be Deceived by US False Narratives

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei stressed that the world will not be deceived by US false narratives about Iran’s economic situation.
Reacting to remarks by a US government spokesperson concerning the economic situation of Iranians and the claim that the United States had prevented Iranian officials from shopping at US stores during the upcoming UN General Assembly session, Baqaei wrote on X: “The rulers in Washington still assume that nations have neither memory nor analytical capacity; as if the world were like the series Pluribus and everyone should, with their minds switched off, stare at Washington’s lips and believe its narrative without question.”Baqaei wrote that, on the one hand, there is a ruthless economic war aimed at inflicting maximum pain and suffering on every single Iranian citizen, and, on the other, there is the grandiose spectacle of supposedly preventing Iranian officials from shopping at a wholesale store in New York.According to Baqaei, they celebrate “sanctioning the life of a nation” while issuing a statement over “sanctioning a store card.”He noted that this propaganda approach is so simplistic and threadbare that it is now easier to understand what kind of simplistic mindset launched the illegal war against the Iranian people and dragged the United States into the embarrassing predicament in which it finds itself today.
