IRGC Navy Official Says Next Two Weeks of War Will Be Defining
Political deputy of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, Mohammad Akbarzadeh, stated that Iran’s military strength and national steadfastness have so far thwarted plans of hegemonic powers, adding that the next weeks of conflict will be defining.
Speaking in an interview with Fars News Agency, Akbarzadeh said three key factors have caused failure plans by hostile forces.He pointed to the restriction of ship passage through the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the disruption has triggered an energy crisis and driven prices sharply higher, creating pressure that the global economy cannot sustain.Akbarzadeh also highlighted the offensive capability of Iranian forces, describing strikes as powerful and precise and noting that operations have surprised adversaries and unsettled many American military analysts.He added that the large and enthusiastic presence of people at Azadi Square has demonstrated national unity and has alarmed policymakers in Washington and Tel Aviv.According to Akbarzadeh, attacks on non-strategic targets reflect imbalance in enemy calculations.He described the current second week of the war as the most important phase of the conflict, noting that if Iran maintains the upper hand as it did in the previous week, signals from the United States to halt the war could emerge.From third week onward, he said global powers may turn to Iran to prevent escalation into a wider regional war.Akbarzadeh stated that decisions taken by Iran during that phase will shape regional developments and determine future trajectory of conflict.He added that establishment of an independent State of Palestine and permanent closure of American bases in region could become central policies in a future regional order.
